Suppose item X is sourced from supplier A You set the Assignment set with a sourcing rule at item level for supplier A Now suppose one inventory wants to source then same item from supplier B (mostly because of location) then you need to add another line in assignment set with this specific item/org combination for the correct sourcing rule(i.e. supplier) Item / Org 'll take the higher precedence compare to item level
